FAQ

Working Together

When should I book a celebrant?
The sooner the better as bookings fill up quickly (especially within the wedding season - October to April). I have bookings for 2 years in advance so book as soon as you can.

Can we contact you in between meetings?
Yes you can. Contact is unlimited.

Where would we meet?
Most couples like to meet in a café or restaurant for the first chat but this is flexible.

How do you create a ceremony for us?
I will write a ceremony just for you. I will listen to you: what you want (don’t want), your style and anything else that makes up your unique wedding ceremony.

Your Ceremony

How long is the ceremony?
Usually ceremonies take 20 to 30 minutes (depending on what you have decided to include).

Do we have to write personal vows?
It’s your call. If you wish to do so, I am here to help with lots of fun ideas.

Can we include others in our ceremony?
Absolutely – family, friends, children, fur babies. It’s up to you.
Just ask me about possibilities – it’s totally flexible.

Planning

How many witnesses do we need?
2 witnesses who are over 18 years of age who are proficient English language users.

What are the legal requirements for weddings?
I written a blog post about this topic here:
www.pamgreenweddings.com.au/blog-posts/legals-legals-legals

Do we need a backup plan if the weather is problematic?
Absolutely. It rarely happens but it is important (if only to calm any nerves).

What if we want to hold a ceremony in a park or at the beach?
Contact the local council or authority about whether or not you require a permit (and if you do, how to gain one).

We don’t like public speaking. What can we do?
I will be there to help you through. I will give you some breathing tips, step in if you need me to do so, or work out a way to minimise any speaking on your behalf.

Other Ceremonies

Do you do ‘legals only’ weddings?
Yes – ask me about my special ‘legals only’ price.

Surprise weddings, elopements, commitment ceremonies, vow renewals …
